Ukulele 13:06:19

Poppy bought her Ukulele to school today and Thomas really enjoyed having a turn at playing it.
They also were lucky to have Mr Brew come in and Tune the Ukulele and play a tune.
Lucky it got tuned because after lunch they were off to school singing, where they both had a chance to play.

Go the Highlanders

Mr Friend came and asked if we would like to get some photos to send to Josh Dickson.
He of course had props (flags)  and we loved getting photos taken.
Mr Friend can always have a great yarn with Thomas after a Highlanders weekend.

Go The Highlanders!!!!

Science Show

Thomas was in a group with Ashlynn, Lilly and Basu.
They worked really well together and put on an entertaining and informative show about Forensic Science for the Wakari Junior School. They had to find out who stole the teddy bear? They used examples of fingerprinting, hair strand samples and footprint samples.
They had a great script and Thomas played his part very well, even with a case of strong nerves. He has learnt that he can push through his fears and feel extremely proud of himself based on the results at the show.
Well done team. Such a great effort and amazing teamwork.

Mr Brew lead an awesome Sasa and Haka. Everyone looked great in their costumes. The rest of the school enjoyed our R5 and 6 Assembly.

Technology

Art

Thomas started  the term in Art. He worked on a project that focused on his beloved pet George.
He began with a great plan with the help of Mrs Wylie and then I had the pleasure of helping him complete his art.
He was really happy with the end result, and quite rightly so.
Thanks to the great planning by Thomas and Mrs Wylie it was easy to help Tom to finish in good time and with a great result.

Tom really enjoys Art.

GEORGE

Tom dressed in his Highlanders gear for the Waisaki Naholo song.
Tom's group did a great job at Assembly with their song and dance. Well not really a dance , more of a scrum. Nice hat Tom.

OUR TREE

So Tom and Sue last year took a lot of notice in the changes of the tree outside Room 12. We decided to photograph the tree once a week and...
